Helping families protect what matters most
When the team at Foresters got in touch with Epoq, they already knew they wanted to offer their members a legal benefit. For Nicole Gourley, Global Chief Membership Officer at Foresters, it was easy to see the potential of helping their members organize wills, powers of attorney and healthcare directives.

The problem is they’d struggled to find anyone who could work across three distinct territories. All Foresters members - who spanned the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States - needed to be able to access the benefits on offer.
So they needed a partner that was international and scalable enough to appeal to their wide membership base.
User-friendly out of the box
Epoq worked with Foresters to offer all of their members LawAssure. The user-friendly platform helps members prepare high-quality customized Wills, Powers of Attorney and Healthcare Directives, in their own time.
Members get access to a secure, online account where they can save, print and share their documents with a family member, a notary or a trusted advisor.
The co-branded platform worked for members out of the box, so Foresters could integrate the platform and trial the offering, fast.

Working across three countries and two languages
Offering a legal benefit across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom presented a huge challenge. These countries include a wide range of legal regions and each required its own set of content for members to use.

Foresters launched LawAssure as a member benefit in 2020 and it has been widely popular, with thousands of documents created - Wills being the most popular.
Crucially, over 70% of members using the platform were members accessing their benefits for the first time – displaying LawAssure’s appeal, and raising awareness amongst members of the broader Foresters benefit offering.
